Diwali, the festival of lights is just around the corner and the Diwali break has started so we tell you some ways to keep the kids engage and make the festival more fun for them
Story Time:Kids love listening to stories so tell them about ramayan and why we celebrate the festival in a fun way so that they can both learn and enjoy at the same time. You can also invite their friends over the story telling session.
Cook: Assistant them in some no fire cooking recipes which they can serve to the guests. They can make ice cream puddings, nachos chaat, fruit salads , Bhel Puri, sandwiches, nutella biscuit sandwich.
Shopping: Go out shopping with them and ask them to choose their clothes preferentially ethnic. You can take their suggestions for your clothes too. Take them to a nearby market and buy gifts fro friends and family.
DIY: Involve your little one in making candles and decorating the diyas with painting colours , studs, glitters and more. You can even make cards or ask them to make a DIY T-shirt for Diwali
Pooja: Involve them in rangoli and pooja preparations and tell them the importance of Laxmi and Ganesh pooja on this day.Ask them to pick flowers for pooja from garden, get things from kitchen , clean the idols to keep them involved.
Play Games: Stay indoors because of pollution and play easy card games, tambola, puzzles and more. Also when going out wear a mask. You can also watch some movies together.
