This unprecedented crisis has caused a lot of people to panic as a definite cure is yet to be discovered. Parents across the world are trying to keep their children protected and are teaching them how to stay cautious.
A recent study has revealed that children show different symptoms of COVID-19 from that of adults. “Rise in the number of children of all ages presenting with a multi-system inflammatory state requiring intensive care across London and also in other regions of the UK”, said Paediatric Intensive Care Society, England in a statement.
COVID-19 symptoms in children
Most of the children show no symptoms i.e they are asymptomatic. Children show very mild illness along with fever, cough, and sometimes mild body aches. Other symptoms recorded in children include diarrhea, nausea, and vomiting.
Precautions to take for children
Apart from following social distancing norms, children should be taught how to wash their hands properly and their diet should be supplemented with immunity-boosting food items. Fluid intake should also be optimum.
Parents should not panic on learning that symptoms may appear differently in children. The recovery rate is fast in children as there are no underlying conditions that complicate the situation. Taking proper precautions can help keep your child safe from contracting the infection.
