For babies there are many teether toys, playmats, soft toys, sleep toys etc that you can get. The best part is they are safe.

Battery toys

For babies who are nearly one year of age, toys that are attractive can be bought. They are close to taking their first step so toys that play music, work with push buttons etc can be picked. During this time kids want to invent, explore create and enjoy. So, let them use their own imagination to play and learn. Though they can be gifted board games, remote controlled cars too.
