How to Introduce ‘Entrepreneurship’ To Young Kids

Apr 13 , 2021

Children can benefit from the introduction to new skills at an early age and it also helps them decide what they like doing the most. A new concept that many schools have introduced in their curriculum has been entrepreneurship. This is in a hope that children will not only have a better understanding of their capabilities but will also encourage them to think out of the box.

Entrepreneurship can be introduced to children without adding pressure. It can just be another subject they can develop an interest in. Here is how you can introduce it to young kids.

  • Help children take up small projects and share responsibilities with other friends. This could be as simple as arranging a lemonade stall for summers.
  • Encourage them to talk about their goals and how they plan to achieve them. Let them come up with a plan themselves and you can help them after.
  • Encourage them to participate in activities that help them plan from the scratch. You can also introduce them to tasks that can help them make their own money.
  • Help children understand marketing and how companies try to sell their products. This can give them ideas about their own little venture.
  • Encourage them to come up with a business plan if they have created something from scratch during a competition or for a school project.
  • Take this slow as the interest may develop eventually.
