Potty training is a daunting task during early days of your child’s life. If you are planning to start the training your child then here are few tips for making the task of potty training a child easier. But don’t forget that it is a process that your kid will get used to in time so be patient.

See and learn: Toddlers learn by imitation and watching you use the bathroom is a natural first step so make him understand about the usage of toilet.

Look for clues: Understand clues from your child and when your child is about to do potty, take him or her to washroom immediately. Also ask your child time-to-time if he or she wants to do potty. If your child says yes, take him or her to the washroom.

Right Potty Seat: When your child is sitting on the potty, it’s important that he’s able to lean slightly forward with his feet on the ground, especially when he’s having a bowel movement. Buy the seat in which the baby is comfortable and also feels secure while sitting on a full-size toilet. To make it fun you can personalize it by writing his name on it or letting him decorate it with stickers.

Praise them. Every time your kid informs you prior give him or her lot of compliments. Also create specific milestones like one full dry day in underwear or a full dry night. Be creative in order to devise a prize that will make your kid happy and feel proud of himself.

Talk With School Teachers: Talk to your kid’s school teacher and communicate the fact that your kid is being potty trained at home.

Don’t compare: Do not compare your kids to others as every child has a different developmental and growth pattern.

Talk to the doctor: Do not shy away from asking the doctor about advice, tips, issue and resolution. Make a mental list of potty training questions that you want to ask the doctor before your next visit
